Give me a reason to feel by Anne-Mareike Hess is the uprising of three dancers who, with all their strength, try to escape the hopeless lethargy of a landscape devoid of any meaning, and depart onto a search of their long-lost feelings. Give me a reason to feel invites the audience into a choreographic journey through the shadows and the light, a reflection on contemporary times of emotionally charged socio-cultural debates and callous economical pressures.

Through her work at home and abroad, the Luxembourg choreographer Anne-Mareike Hess has achieved great success. Her productions have featured at numerous festivals across Europe and Canada. In 2012, she was awarded the Emerging Talent Award of the “Stiftung zur Förderung junger Talente”, and in 2015 the “Danzpräis” from the Luxembourg Ministry of Culture. As a dancer, Anne-Mareike Hess has also worked with choreographers including William Forsythe, Rosalind Goldberg and Ingri Fiksdal.

Give me a reason to feel is the first work of Anne-Mareike Hess to be performed at the Grand Théâtre. (from theatres.lu)
